A perfect town retreat for a couple, a family or a group to experience the summer buzz of a charming French town with plenty of history!
Dating back more than 250 years, our lovingly restored self-catering holiday studio is situated in one part of two interconnected town houses with views onto a charming back garden. Your private access from the street to the accommodation on the 1st and 2nd floor passes through a former horse stable with an authentic stone floor.
Our studio offers two bedrooms and sleeps 4-6. Carefully renovated, its old charm has been preserved with original oak beams, old wooden floors and a rustic fireplace.

1st floor: dining area with a large fireplace and kitchenette with a refrigerator/cooker/microwave/coffee machine/toaster. There is a large bathroom with bathtub, shower and WC. 1 Bedroom, sleeps 2, twin beds....

What a little gem! Don't be put off by the on-street entrance through a garage/workshop/storeroom- this is a delightful property lovingly restored by Vera in the most idiosyncratic style. Access to the garden including a hammock and Bar B Q is most welcome and Sandro...More

Montignac is with 2,800 inhabitants a small market town in the South-West of France, mainly known for the famous Lascaux caves The Sistine Chapel of Prehistory with its remarkable cave paintings is just.This is a small, charming town with a castle towering over historic quarters with cobbled lanes on both sides of the river. Banks, shops, restaurants and supermarkets, a news agent and markets are all in walking distance. Try and tune in with the locals and enjoy a fresh croissant in the morning or chill out with an aperitif in one of the close cafes and bars in the evening. For nature lovers, there are several walking paths and you can also hire bikes or canoes.Montignac is the perfect starting point to visit the area. Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Hautefort, Beynac or Castelnaud are just 20-45 min.... more

Airport: Limoges: 142.0 km
Closest airports at Limoges, Brive and Bergerac - then Toulouse and Bordeaux (3 hrs).
Both Flybe and Ryanair operate regular flights From various airports in UK to Bergerac just over 1 hour away and Limoges 1 hour 40 away. Various Car rental companies operate from both airports.

The closest train stations are at Thenon or Le Lardin/Condat, car rental is available at the train stations in Brive or in Périgueux.
Well connected to the A89 Bordeaux/Clermont-Ferrand, Montignac is about 15 minutes by car from exit 17 (St. Yrieix-la-Perche/Thenon), more or less half way between Périgueux and Brive.
