This holiday is for people who enjoy peace and quiet. Giniginamar is one of the least touristy villages and the foreigners that are here are largely expats.<BR>The house is located high up the hillside having its own garden.<BR>Having only one bedroom (with on-suite) it is ideal for couples. <BR>There is a bed sofa in the lounge so four could be accomodated short term. Although there is a good restaurant - Don Carlos, currently there are no shops at all.<BR>Luckily Gran Tarajal, the provincial town just a short drive away can cater for most needs, even here there are not many tourists.<BR>For the energetic you can walk to Gran Tarajal over the cliffs with the reward of a fresh fish lunch.<BR> A car here though is pretty essential if you want to do any exploring, car hire is reasonably priced.

Thanks to this review, amongst others, we became aware that the cleaning and management were not up to standard. We spent a fortnight there ourselves (we don't live on the island) renovating the house and finding new staff.. We have now engaged a great team...More

About the neighbourhood
The house has an unbeatable sea view and a few minutes walk will get you to the quiet black sand beach or the free tennis court.<BR><BR>The fishing is good from the beach or cliffs and there are many great golf courses on the island.<BR><BR>The village itself is small and quiet - traditionally a fishing village and retains it´s native charm. There you can find a great restaurant on the beach to dine on freshly caught fish or a snack bar for the odd ice cream, drink or snack. The other restaurant, just a few minutes walk from the house, is German run and offers Canarian and international cuisine, along with free wifi for checking your emails! <BR><BR>For shopping and all other necessities, Gran Tarajal is a 10 minute drive. The energetic can walk across the hills from Giniginamar (4km) but however you get there, it is worth a visit. Originally the main export centre for tomatoes it´s still one of the largest towns on the island.<BR><BR>For more eating possibilities, Las Playitas is another pretty, neighbouring village on the coast. <BR>
How to get there
Www.ryanair.com amongst other companies fly from Spain and the UK, also many other countries. <BR>www.holidayautos.co.uk and www.carhire3000.com are agents for most carhire companies and are cheaper than going direct. Getting from the airport to Ginginamar is very easy just head south in the direction of Moro Jable and you will eventually see a sign to it on the left.<BR>If you are not confident about driving abroad Fuerteventura is a very good place to start
