The chattel house’ design has been conceived to offer our guest a big and brighter open space and also for let them enjoy the very pleasant oceanic breeze constantly present in this part of the island. The apartment is located at the first floor and is built in masonry and Kabakalli wood. Blue Ocean Villa has a very big open-space dining / living / kitchen area fully furnished with all accessories. Three large french doors are faced to the verandah which is equipped with table and 4 chairs, 2 relaxing chairs and a barbecue; from there it’s possible to admire a magnificent sunrise and the ocean (from here the apartment’s name) which is only 70 meters far. From the dining-room you can reach the loft through a wooden staircase where you can find two bed-rooms with mosquito nets. The bathroom ...

Smoking is allowed only in the balcony or garden. Air Conditioned is available with 2 independent splits in the bedrooms (due to high cost of energy on the island) at a supplement of 10 USD per night per bed-room (max 12 hours) or 15 USD for more, but guests need to switch it off always when leaving the apartment; consider that normally there is no need for A/C as it is fresh and windy, but you can anyway decide to have it also on the spot.

About the neighbourhood

We are just in front of the Ocean, (70 meters); the Rescue Beach is 180 meters far from us, Silver Sands Beach is 210 meters far, while Silver Rock Beach is 520 meters far. We are also 80 meters far from Surfer's Bay which is Bar and Restaurant. We are 2.6 Km./5 minutes far by car from Oistins, where you can find the famous Fish Market, the biggest super market, shops, banks etc., and 15 minutes by car from San Lawrence Gap (5.3 km.) with shops, bars and good restaurants. We have the nearest bus stop at few minutes by walk from the Cottage and a 24/24 taxi service. There are also 2 small groceries close to the bus stop only few minutes by walk. The Airport is just 15 minutes by car (3 km.)

How to get there

Concerning directions it's very easy: go to the old Silver Sands Hotel, everybody knows it; just opposite to the main entrance of the Hotel you take the first right turn (there is a big light pole with our sign of Blue Ocean Cottage named on it) then you keep straight, pass an orange/pink Bar, a curve to the right and then you keep straight for around 100 metres (109 yards). Our Blue Ocean Cottage is just there on the right side of the road with 2 signs and a Barbadian flag outside, you cannot miss us because it's the only property made with 2 buildings of 2 floors in concrete and lot of brown wood and few cars parked in front of it.
