We loved our stay here. The house is very quirky and artistic, it was like walking into a carnival but the best thing about the stay were our hosts, Theresa and Bianco the dog who live upstairs. Theresa spent a few evenings with us shouting Italian into her Google translate, punctuated with the odd “Mamma Mia” and Bianco loved snoring in the entrance to the kitchen. They made it feel a very homely and authentic Italian stay after the hustle and bustle of Rome.
Thank you Theresa, we hope to be back.

We really enjoyed that artistic vibe of this cottage. It was well stocked and we had an easy time visiting Rome by train. The cottage was well stocked with information guides we look forward to returning!

Zwei Tage vor Anreise bekamen wir eine WhatsApp vom Vermieter das es Probleme mit dem Wasser gebe und man uns nicht garantieren könnte das der Pool bei Anreise nutzbar ist und das wir zum Kochen Trinkwasser nehmen sollten. Man würde aber dran arbeiten und ist sich sicher das Problem schnell zu lösen. Auf Nachfragen ein Tag später bekamen wir erstmal keine Antwort. Erst am Samstag als wir schon unterwegs waren bekamen wir die Antwort das dran gearbeitet wird und bald alles wieder zu 100% in Ordnung ist. Als wir am Samstag um 16 Uhr ankamen war gar nichts in Ordnung . Vom Vermieter keine Spur. Nur die Mutter war anwesend, die aber kein Wort Englisch spricht und nur mit Google Translator kommunizieren kann. Es sah nicht so aus als ob wir erwartet worden sind . Der Garten war ein riesen Chaos von den vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten war keine aufgebaut. An dem Wasserprobleme arbeitete kein Mensch. In der Wohnung kam aus allen Wasserhähnen nur braunes Sandwasser. Die Vermieterin sagte nur laufen lassen dann wird das schon. Aber nichts wurde. Im Kühlschrank und im Eisfach lagen noch die Lebensmittel der Vermieterin. Die Wohnung an sich war auch nicht besonders gepflegt. Nach der Ankunft wurden schnell die Betten bezogen. Schnell hatten wir das Gefühl die Mutter hatte nicht mit unserer Ankunft gerechnet. Wir verbrachten den kompletten Samstag bei 40 Grad im Haus. Als wir Abends am Esstisch saßen und ein Spiel spielten kam die Vermieterin plötzlich ohne zu klopfen in die Küche um an das Eisfach zu gehen. Die Vermieterin hat einen relativ großen Hund der die ganze Zeit draußen rumläuft und unserer Hündin hinterherlief. Fanden wir auch nicht so toll Nachdem sich am Sonntag immer noch nichts mit dem Wasser tat haben wir uns mit Fewo Ersatz gesucht und sind am Montag in ein neues Haus gezogen. Die Stornierung und Rückerstattung waren kein Problem.
Fazit: Für ein technischen Defekt kann niemand was. Nur jemanden 1500km anreisen zulassen ohne zu wissen wann das Problem behoben ist, ist frech. Auch hätte man alles andere ja in Ordnung bringen können. Zum Glück haben wir in der Toskana ein schönes Haus für unseren Urlaub gefunden.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour chez Térésa qui est une hôtesse très agréable, gentille, avenante et énergique. Il y a quelques infos à savoir Térésa et Bianca (la chienne, très gentille ) vivent sur place, au dessus de la location. l'info n'est pas donnée sur le site, donc nous étions un peu surpris. Mais cela n'a pas posé de problème;
Suite à une mauvaise communication entre Grégor et sa maman, nous n'étions pas attendus... Donc Térésa s'est donnée beaucoup de mal pour tout nettoyer rapidement. 2 H après la grande maison était propre et sentait bon. Malgré l'absence de climatisation, la maison reste fraîche et dispose de ventilateurs dans toutes les pièces.
La piscine est un peu petite mais très propre et nettoyée tous les jours.
Le WI-Fi est très très faible voire inexistant, donc il faut le savoir pour les enfants, l'organisation des sorties etc.
L'endroit est assez reculé , il faut une voiture pour tous les déplacements et la région est agricole entourée d'oliviers c'est très calme et isolée. Il faut compter 40 mn pour rejoindre Rome.
Pour résumer, nous avons passé un bon séjour de 7 jours, pour nous c'était juste ce qu'il fallait. Pour ceux qui cherchent du calme dans un environnement rural c'est bien.

We have been to many many rentals and BnB’s in Ita...
We have been to many many rentals and BnB’s in Italy over the last 10 years but somehow this house had a very strong impact on us. We were supposed to stay 5 days and go back home for Xmas but thanks to a national covid lockdown we ended up staying 2 weeks and even after that, it was hard to go back home. The house is something else, full of colours, funky lights and Arti facts and it really feels you are staying in Bilbo the hobbit house, it is so cosy. The two chimney not only provide heating but contribute to the warm atmosphere of the house. It is amazing how you can be so close to Rome and yet feel you are in the middle of wilderness. The beds are really comfy and it’s the first time we find a kitchen with everything in it (there were more ustensiles than in our own house). The area is really beautiful and hilly with several national parks a stone throw away. But the best thing about this house is the host Teresa who worked so hard to make us feel welcome. My son was unwell for a few days and Teresa cooked a proper country chicken and vegetables broth that got him right back on his feet in no time. We felt like home and without a shadow of a doubt will be back as soon as we can.

This house was cosy, comfortable, welcoming, rustic and arty. We had a lovely peaceful few days here with some much needed quality sleep. Gregor is a very responsive host and his Mum Therese was very helpful and kind. We had an endless supply of firewood, soap shampoo and coffee which was very generous. We could hear hoopoes in the woods which was really magical. The house is in an area not typically frequented by tourists so visiting Palombara Sabina is an interesting insight into Italian suburbia. The Castle is nice to visit and there are tratorias and supermarkets nearby. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
