Walnut Cottage was originally built in the 16th century but has been lovingly restored to combine a high standard of modern comfort with traditional stonework and a dramatic granite fireplace which provides for a cosy winter fire and makes the cottage available all year round. The mezzanine double bedroom overlooks the open plan living area with lounge, dining room and modern kitchen facilities.

Surrounded by 5 acres of land there are plenty of picnic areas, patio furniture for picnics or a bottle of wine in the sunshine and of course, lots of off-road parking.

The kitchen is well equipped with a hob, small oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.

The shower room is on the ground floor, it has a built in wash basin with vanity unit, large mirror and a WC.

There is a stone table and chairs to the side of the Gite that used to be...

About the neighbourhood
The location is ideally situated to visit the unique Abby on Mont Saint Michel, an amazing Benedictine abbey built on a granite peak out to sea, which receives more visitors each year than any other monument in France, except Versailles. The mont provides a breathtaking spectacle that can be reached by a causeway that links it to the mainland. Also the famous Bayeux Tapestry with its lovely Cathedral, Domfront and Fourges.
For the most thought provoking days out, visits to the Landing Beaches in the North, the War Cemeteries and museums.
