We stayed here for 2 nights. We got there about 7ish the first night and dinner was already prepared, which was a lovely way to end the night. Breakfast provided for the next two days and so was dinner. Dinner wasn't included in our stay...More

About the neighbourhood
The Lavadoir Forest is simply amazing, man made it is a giant working forest. Each time you visit there is a new view, created almost magically eash year as a result of the tree harvest.
Sunrises and sunsets are wonderful, walks exhillarating and cycling is challenging,both road and off track.
The Route de Fromage wanders through the area and mushroom hunters search the forest daily and sell their finds to the many local Achats.
Watching above the Red Kites and Buzzards soar majestically whilst Wild Boar and Fallow Deer forage in the forest.
Wonderful local towns and villages host a mass of summer Fetes and are a true step back in time each one being noted for its local artesans and culture.

How to get there
Ryanair fly to many accessable airports although none can be described as local. Trains run to Issoire from Paris and Nimes in the south whilst the motorway passes the foot of our mountain. guests can be collected from Issoire station at a nominal charge.
If travelling from Dieppe, Monet's wonderful garden at Giverny makes a wonderful stop off point whilst the beautiful cities of Chatres and Orleans never fail to delight. From the south a stop of at the Millau bridge is a must to appreciate its scale and beauty.
