This is utterly unlike the numerous favourable emails we receive from our guests, many of them returning year after year. There were a couple of points that this guest raised that were helpful, and will of course be attended to, but it's hard to take...More

We really enjoyed our stay. Two adults, and our 4 (turned 5 right after we came home) year old daughter - and there was something for us all. The small market in Reggello, Reggello by itself, food, wine, the small Pizza takeout in Reggello... I...More

About the neighbourhood
The rural community of Cascia lies in the foothills of the beautiful Pratomagno mountains, on which the light is constantly changing - tree clad high up, descending into olive groves and vineyards, punctuated by old buildings and lines of cypress trees. The area is renowned for the freshness of the air, and the local olive oil is held to be amongst the finest in the world. People interested in walking, flora, fauna or art and architecture will find the location ideal. Cascia is famous for the Masaccio painting and superb Romanesque church. There are several other fascinating villages and towns nearby, as well as excellent shopping and numerous restaurants and bars. Good transport gives easy access to the wonders of Florence and beyond.
How to get there
Nearest airports: Florence (35km - few flights only), Pisa (127km - the main airport for the area) or Bologna (141km). BA, EasyJet, Ryanair and JET2 fly from several UK airports to Pisa. Mainline trains, Milan-Rome, stop at Figline (8km from the house). The A1 motorway is close by (9km).
