About the neighbourhood
We are situated in a quiet rural village with no facilities. But we do have nice walks around the village and into the country side from the village. There is a church with a Norman tower. The nearest shops are 1.5 miles away at Grimoldby. The shop is a co-op and the restaurant is an Italian which does nice food at a reasonable price. Rated highly on trip advisor. The market town of Louth is 5 miles away. It has a market on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday where people travel from miles around to attend.
Getting around
A car is preferred. There is limited public transport. There are 2 buses to Louth and Mablethorpe on a Wednesday and Friday. It is possible to catch a bus to Lincoln and Grimsby from Louth. There a plenty of taxi firms in Louth. The nearest railway stations are Market Rasen and Grimsby 20 miles away.
