About the neighbourhood
The 'Gourmand village' of Juillac, set on high ground overlooking the magnificent Dordogne valley, has its own award winning restaurant. Rows and rows of immaculate vines produce highly acclaimed wines and many vineyards 'open doors' throughout the year inviting visits and tastings. Concerts, antique fairs, art expositions and night-markets and many other events run throughout the summer months in Juillac and neighbouring villages. For those who enjoy exploring, cycling, local walks and canoeing are a great way to get to know the area and appreciate the tranquillity and outstanding beauty. Bring binoculars for great birdwatching!
Getting around
A car is necessary for getting around and visiting sites. We are nestled among undulating vines. Walking and biking is recommended locally. Trains are also a great way to visit Bordeaux, Arcachon on the coast or Sarlat deep in the Dordogne.
