Main Description

My little cottage is 200 years old and would have once been the gardeners cottage, so alas no garden of its own. There is however , a sunny south facing terrace in the front to sit out . It is full of character but quite SMALL with low doors and oak beamed ceilings. It is one of the original '2 up, 2 downs' f rom the 1800's and in recent years was modernised and a toilet/shower room...

We used Bingham as a base for a short autumn break and Rosehip cottage proved to be ideal for us in every way. We found it spotlessly clean with everything that one could wish for. The cottage is very homely and comfortable with nice touches...More

We are nearing the end of our stay with Susan at Rosehip Cottage in Bingham, and it is wonderful. The cottage is over 200 years old, but you wouldn't think so from the inside. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances; the black and white...More

About the neighbourhood
Description of the area

Bingham is a small market town nestling in the countryside but only 20 mins drive to Nottingham and less to Newark. The old town of Lincoln can be reached to the North and Derby to the South. If you wish to stray further afield you could reach the famous cobbled town of York or walk round the stunning architecture of Cambridge. There are many pretty villages around in which to walk or cycle and maybe a pub lunch. How about the cricket at Trentbridge? There are trains to the seaside or maybe you would like the caves in Derbyshire. In Bingham itself the local pubs do good food by big open fireplaces or visit one of the many restaurants. The market is on Thursdays and the leisure centre is always a good all wea
