What a fantastic stay. Amazing views, great weather and great, very authentic Italian house. We stayed there for a week in September and it didn't disappoint. Lots of nice places to visit within driving range (Pisa, Florence, Lucca). Massimo is a great host and 'Canteena...More

Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking.
We have links with an outdoor activities company who offer guided walks and climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and world class gorge walking.
The area is well known for its excellent value restaurants, using the best of local ingredients. A typical set lunch with 4 choices of pasta course, and 4 choices of main course costs only 10 Euros inclusive of bread, wine and coffee. It is possible to have a multi-course traditional Sunday lunch or dinner with ample wine, coffee and liquors for less than 25 Euros.
Local market town with good shops, excellent restaurants and wine bars, and a railway station, is only 3 miles away.
