Holiday Rental House
Ocean Decks is a beautiful south facing chalet with a decking area where our guests can enjoy al fresco dining using the table and chairs provided overlooking the green. No expense has been spared to make it one of the best chalets on the site, along with our other chalets Sandy Shores (next door to Ocean Decks), Seascape with a sea view of Sandown Bay, and Wight Sails (nearby with views across the Downs). Our home from home chalets are among the few chalets here that have their own WiFi which is super fast fibre broadband, and at no extra cost to our guests. Sandown Bay Holiday Centre is situated in a peaceful and sheltered cliff top location. Ocean views and the rolling Downs can be seen from around the site, which is set in the grounds of the historic Yaverland fort. It is a few minutes walk to safe, sandy beaches the nearest of which welcomes your dogs all year round. It is a perfect haven for families and couples to relax and enjoy one of the sunniest locations in the UK, adjacent to Bembridge Down owned by the National Trust, and the coastal walk with spectacular views of Culver Cliff and across Sandown Bay. There are miles of cycle routes and walkers' pathways both on the coast and inland. There are no amenities on this quiet site. The clubhouse building, which includes part of the protected historic fort, is currently awaiting renovation. This brick-built chalet is fully double glazed, has blinds at all windows (black out blinds in both bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen) and we have provided our guests with comfortable, clean accommodation decorated in coastal style with open plan lounge / diner and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The lounge has a very comfortable corner sofa bed that comfortably sleeps 2 and therefore the chalet can sleep up to 6 people if needed. It has a dining table and 4 chairs, a large flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, and a useful full length mirror. The newly renovated kitchen has a modern ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and a range of small appliances and utensils needed for holiday cooking and dining. Bedroom 1 has a very comfortable full size double bed with a superior quality mattress, bedside units, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has white bunk beds and a useful tall shelving unit. Anti-allergenic pillows and duvets are provided in both rooms. Good quality bed linen is provided at no extra charge for the bedrooms and beds will be made up ready for your arrival. Guests would need to provide their own bedding if they are using the sofa bed. Towels are not provided. The modern newly tiled bathroom has an electric shower in a quadrant shower cubicle, hand basin with useful shelving, WC and heated towel rail. Travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Guests would need to provide all bedding for the travel cot. Electricity is charged separately, via a coin meter situated in a kitchen cupboard taking new £1 coins. There is a grassed area outside the chalet, which is not overlooked, where children can play happily under parents/carers supervision. Free parking nearby to the front and rear of the chalet. Dogs are welcome at Ocean Decks, either 2 small dogs or 1 larger dog at an additional cost per dog per stay subject to approval. Dogs must not be left unattended at any times in the chalet as this is a strict site rule. Please check full terms and conditions with owner prior to booking. Please also see our other chalets, Sandy Shores ID 7315837 (adjoining Ocean Decks, so handy for friends and families who are looking for 2 chalets close to each other), Seascape ID 7146502 which has a stunning sea view across Sandown Bay, and is suited to a maximum of 4 guests per booking, and Wight Sails ID 9135156, our other dog friendly chalet. We are pleased to be able to offer all our guests discounted Red Funnel vehicle ferry travel, Please contact us if you would like further information. Please note that due to restrictions by TripAdvisor we are unable to provide this until full balance of the holiday has been paid, and this is beyond our control. Lovely 3 nights spent in this compact chalet as a base to see the island. Fully equipped for all your needs and nicely decorated. A short walk to the beach which we did each evening. Very reasonably priced. Only downside was the derelict clubhouse building...More
