This house is located on a fairly quiet old main road just north of Ruffec. When I say old, I mean it has been bypassed with another main road, so there is usual local traffic and farming vehicles now and then.

It is a detached house with a large mature garden. There is ample parking space in addition to lockup garage space for 3 cars.

The right hand side of the house has the kitchen/diner, the main living room on the ground floor and the master bedroom on the first floor. The left side of the house has the second living room/reading room on the ground floor and the 3 double bedrooms on the first floor. There is a patio/courtyard at the back which is an ideal place for sunbathing or just relaxing in the shade with family and friends and a glass of wine.

About the neighbourhood
Quiet, semi-rural location. Pleasant neighbors, some permanently there, some come and go. Bread van visits everyday around lunchtime (except Sundays).

Don't forget that most shops are closed on Sundays. That's why we do arrivals on Fridays, so that you have Saturday to stock up on groceries. There is one supermarket, Inter-Marche, which opens on Sunday between 9am-12noon only. You can buy petrol/diesel there also(24 hrs).

Ferry: Caen: 395.0 km
If you're traveling from the UK, the shortest route is via the port of Caen (via Portsmouth). If you use the tolled motorways, it takes about 4 hours to Chez Branger. The toll cost in a car is about 40 euros (one way).

If you come via Calais, then the journey is approx. twice as long as that described above.

If you are traveling from any other location, then you need to head toward RUFFEC. The nearest fast road/motorway is the N10. Leave the N10 at Ruffec and follow signs for Chez Branger which is only 3-4 km away.
