Living room:The spacious lounge/diner is equipped with a stylish walnut dining table, 4 chairs and sideboard, a bookcase, books, guides, oak carved chair, oak bureau, sumptuous 2 and 3 seat leather sofas, mahogany coffee table, 32' LED TV, blu-ray DVD player and WiFi. Bedrooms: Bedrooms:Bedroom 1 super-king size bed (can be made into a twin bedded room if requested when booking). Bedroom 2 double bed. Beds in both bedrooms stylishly dressed. Each has wardrobe, bedside tables, lamps, chest of drawers, chair and mirrors. Hairdryer bedroom 1. Bathroom: High spec bathroom - corner wc, wash basin, large mirror, monsoon shower over P-shaped bath (glass shower screen), oak corner cupboard, large heated towel rail, tiled floor with electric underfloor heating and timer. Kitchen: The well equipped kitchen has everything you need: oven, ceramic hob, cooker hood, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, stainless steel sink, plenty of cupboard space, crockery, cooking and other utensils and steam iron. Outside:The garden is a truly delightful place to sit when the rhododendrons are in bloom. There are flower beds and a lawn in the front garden. Roses grow up the trellis on the front wall of the property. There are flower beds to the side of the house and at the rear. The paths and parking area are made with blue-grey slate chippings from the local quarry at Elterwater. There are chairs, a table and umbrella on the rear patio. A pleasant place to sit and eat in the sun on fine days in spring and summer. And nearby the beck flows cheerfully past - a great sound to wake up to each day! Wooden hut to the rear of the property (can be used to store bicycles securely). Also used for storing walking boots and wet outdoor clothing. Clothes may be dried outside on the rotary clothesline or on a rack in the bathroom. Cleaning/Towels/Linen: Price includes hotel quality linen for each bed, similar quality hand and bath towel for each guest and a tea towel and oven gloves for the kitchen. We have a key safe and you will be provided with a code when you make a booking and will be able to let yourselves in at any time after 4pm. Once you have booked we also supply an electronic welcome pack with links to useful websites to help you plan your stay. Our local agents are responsible for housekeeping and maintenance of the cottage and they have offices nearby. So if you have any problems on these matters you will be able to contact them. We will also supply you with an email address and phone number to contact us before, during or after your stay.

Very clean and comfortable accomodation with good amenities. Ideal location for visiting Lake District. 10 minute walk into Bo'ness or Windermere.

The accommodation was of a high standard. We had a very relaxing holiday with lots of walking including a boat trip to Ambleside. Lots to do combined with many good cafes and restaurants particularly near the lake. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

The cottage enjoys the very best of all worlds: within walking distance of bustling Bowness with its shops, pubs, hotels, restaurants, coffee and tea shops and the shores of Lake Windermere with its ferries, steamers, yachts, rowing boats and motor boats and watersports. It is close to the Dalesway long distance footpath so you can walk directly from the cottage and shortly you are in open countryside. The property is an excellent base from which to explore Bowness, Lake Windermere and the rest of the Lake District.
