The flat was very clean and comfortable, and check-in was very easy. It was incredibly well-appointed and we found we had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome pack was very generous! It is on the corner of a busy junction but the bedrooms are located on the quieter side of the property. The town centre is a short walk away through the castle grounds. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful apartment, a real cosy home from home....
A wonderful apartment, a real cosy home from home. Ideally situated next to the River for long river and countryside walks with our miniature dachshund. A very short stroll into the town known locally as Barney. Lots of lovely pubs and restaurants to choose from most of which are dog friendly. The locals are warm and very friendly, in fact we arrived
early December and were invited by some locals in a bar to the Christmas lights switch on, it was a wonderful evening and start to our Christmas festivities, one to remember. A stay in this apartment and Barney is highly recommended.

Very unique location!
We loved staying in this apartment. It's located right on the river (hence the name) and directly across from Barnard Castle. You are on street level, but the noise is not an issue. The place is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. It's walking distance to the "downtown" area. Although an assigned parking place was not included, the street parking nearby worked perfectly.
