We had a lovely weekend at Ashlea. The cottage is well equiped & feels like a real home - very peaceful, great views & easy reach if Barnard Castle. Great walks from the doorstep. We were made so welcome by Ann, (loved the fresh baked bread & flowers). We will stay here again.

We had a fabulous holiday over the Christmas period at Ashlea. Both Anne and Graham were extremely hospitable with some very generous gifts in our arrival. Our whole cottage was decorated for Christmas which my little girls loved. We would definintley return.

My husband, my Mum and I had a wonderful week at Ashlea.
My husband, my Mum and I had a wonderful week at Ashlea. it is the best self catering cottage we've stayed in. great location, very rural and private but, at the same time, very close to the main road into Barnard Castle. it is very spacious and well laid out. very clean and well equipped (& I cook!). the hosts, Ann & Graham, we very welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive. I would recommend it to anyone - couple(s) or family. we would love to go back and only wish we'd booked for two weeks not one.
