My son booked this for a family weekend away. The house had just the right amount of beds to suit us. The kitchen dining area was very spacious. The 2 lounges gave plenty of space for us all to sit. My grandaughter loved the dolls house. The house was very well equiped for children and babies and the travel cot...

The house was just as expected. Clean and warm! We had all we needed for a brief stay. The kitchen diner was a great size. View of the church (and sheep!) and sea were lovely.

About the neighbourhood
Pakefield is a small, peaceful village, just south of the larger town of Lowestoft, with its golden sandy beaches. The two places are joined by a sea front esplanade, lined with beach huts, which makes for a pleasant stroll. The beach towards Kessingland has a very different atmosphere, as no houses line the wild cliffs.

When one is not on the beach, the area has plenty of other things on offer for all ages. Taking a trip to Norwich by train is an experience in itself as the train route takes you through idyllic unspoilt countryside. There are picturesque villages and towns to explore. Nearby 'Africa Alive' wildlife park (3 miles) and 'Pleasurewood Hills' theme park (5 miles) are two of Suffolk's top rated attractions. Crabbing is a popular pastime at the harbour mout...

How to get there
Airport: Norwich Airport: 50.0 km
Railway: Lowestoft Railway Station: 2.0 km
Ferry: Harwich International Port: 120.0 km
A car is not essential as it can be tempting to spend the entire holiday on the beach or promenade with good weather! There is also the railway from Lowestoft and a good bus service to many villages and towns. However a car does make it easier and quicker to explore the area, which is quite rural.

Directions to the house:
Travelling north on the A12, follow signs for Lowestoft. Once you have passed a holiday camp called Pontins on your right, continue on the A12 on the next roundabout (straight over). At the 2nd roundabout, take the 3rd exit, the B1532 towards Pakefield. You continue on this road until you get to some small shops. Turn right into Pakefield Street, then take the 2nd turning right into All Saints' Road. Take the first turning right into Kirkdale Court. The garage for...
