Holiday Rental House
This historic stone roofed barn has been lovingly converted into a holiday cottage with many quirky features. Set in 14 acres of grazing moorland sheltered by surrounding forest, the building is set around a cobbled and grass courtyard. The Barnhouse, constructed in 1841, still retains many historic features including exposed roof beams, stone floors and dressed stone work. The Barn House is heated by a newly installed central heating system. There are also two wood burning stoves for when its extra chilly outside. The barn has 1 master kingsize bedroom, 1 double room, 1 single room, 1 twin room, and a mezzanine bunk room (sleeping 2 in an open plan setting) as well as 2 double and 1 single sofa beds in the living and games rooms. Please note that the mezzanine bedroom is accessed by a narrow ladder making it unsuitable for use by young children or the elderly. The double height hallway leads to a large and fully equipped kitchen/dining room that can seat up to 14. A large fridge freezer, double oven with 8 hobs and a large convection microwave/oven ensure that cooking for your group is manageable. The extra large upstairs living area and separate games room make this property ideal for big groups of all ages. There is a downstairs shower room with separate toilet and upstairs bathroom with bath, sink and toilet. We welcome dogs however there is a charge of £10 per dog per stay. For larger groups, The Little Barn at Gib Torr Farm is the sister property to The Barn House and can sleep an additional 6 people in an open plan setting - for details please contact the owner. Please note there is no mobile phone signal or 3G connectivity in the barn due to our location. There is however a landline that can be used by guests. More
