Considerable recent updating gives visitors to Wellwood Lodge a superior self-catering experience for 14 people in the beautiful spa town of Buxton and the stunning Peak District beyond. There are 2 travel cots taking maximum occupancy numbers to 16.
A bespoke handcrafted oak staircase rises through the centre of the house to the upper floors to reach the six spacious and tastefully-decorated bedrooms with four bath/shower rooms. One room has a dressed 4 poster bed and en suite shower room.

What a place to stay! It is such a spacious house which has been well looked after. The situation of the house is perfect for walking into Buxton.

Weekends are normally a minimum of 3 nights. Where a minimum 2 night stay is offered in low season and/or last minute check out is by II am, for an additional £50 arranged pre arrival a later 4 pm departure time can be secured, opt for a 3rd night for an iresistable discount. Personal towels are not included but may be hired at £2.50 per set.A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are allowed at £20 per dog per visit. Travel cot available on request.

Built on the River Wye, and overlooked by Axe Edge Moor, Buxton has a history as a spa town due to its geothermal spring which rises at a constant temperature of 28 °C. The spring waters are piped to St Ann's Well on the historic Georgian Crescent where anyone can take the water.
Buxton is the highest market town in England, holding markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the year.
The beautiful Pavilion Gardens are enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. The combination of walks, lakes, water fowl, play areas and miniature train ensure that they remain a firm favourite with the whole family.
