There are 8 steps in the garden. This property has a security deposit of £300.. Once known as the Big Valley Hotel, this wonderfully unique, stone-built, detached holiday property dates back to at least the 1840s. Originally a licensed inn, the property is full of history and charm with a wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary design. Internally, it benefits from a superb indoor spa room complete with a hot tub, cocktail making facilities, sound bar and a wine fridge. The living room has a wood burner and provides entertainment in the form of a karaoke machine. Externally, the raised split level decked terrace provides ample space for everyone to relax on a warm summers evening. Netherton village is around a 10-minute walk from the property and is home to ample local amenities. Alternatively, the larger towns of Holmfirth (most famous as the backdrop from the TV series ’Last of the Summer Wine’ and home to its very own vineyard), Meltham and Huddersfield can be reached within a 10-minute drive. For the outdoor enthusiast, the surrounding area holds plentiful country walks and scenery, and the Peak District National Park lies to the south. Finally, for those wanting to make their stay extra special, the owner can assist in organising on-site beauty and massage treatments, scrumptious afternoon teas, hosted meals, cocktail classes and even boot camps for an additional charge. Shop ½ mile, pub 2 miles and restaurant 1 mile.. There are 8 steps in the garden. 2 dogs only. There is a £300 security deposit payable by bank transfer to the owner, this will be returned 48hrs after departure. 2 of the bedrooms have bunks which are a double with a single above. Sorry, no hen or stag parties. Spring Wood Cottage is in a residential setting therefore excessive noise, especially loud music, is not acceptable at any time. If anyone representing the cottage has to attend or contact the group due neighbourhood complaints during the day or evening, this will result in the damage / behavioural deposit being retained.
