These luxurious Pods are equipped with all the things you will need for your stay. Each pod has gas central heating, en-suite toilet and shower, kitchen with an electric hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There are two double beds, one fixed and one sofa bed. We have a Bluetooth stereo systems in the pods to allow you to connect your phone and play your music. There is a paved patio area and a timber deck at the front of the pods with a picnic bench so you can enjoy the beautiful views across the Solway while enjoying your dinner. Parking is provided next to the pod for 1 car. The Turnbull family run the farm all year round, so you will be able to see the livestock and in the spring you will see the lambs running around the fields. Amazing
We had the most amazing time at these pods. We travelled with friends and hired two pods the Herdwick and the Jacob. We stayed in the Herdwick which is the bigger pod with 2 adults a a child and a baby. The other pod had 1 adult and 2 children
The pods were amazing. They were warm immaculate, nothing out of place not a speck of dust. They were also decorated with lovely easter touches including a kids activity book. The kitchen had everything you needed if you wanted to cook. The extras were a lovely suprise, fresh eggs, butter tea, coffee and a bottle of prosecco!
There is loads to do for kids a great playground right in front of the pods, including a go kart track and trampoline. We hired the hot tub too, which was ready to use again the cleanliness was faultless.
The kids also had the opportunity to see lots of animals and even feed some baby lambs and witness a lamb born just a few minute earlier. An experience we didn't expect but will never forget.
We didn't get to have a camp fire as the wind was so bad but there was everything you needed to get started. I also used the EV charging point which was really convenient. Download the app which the hosts will send, really reasonable charges.
The hosts Kathleen and Peter were amazing, so welcoming friendly and helpful. They really took time and effort to show us round their farm and involve us in feeding the lambs. It was so appreciated.
Unfortunately we had awful weather but we still had an amazing experience and will definitely be back again, hopefully with better weather!

1st class glamping
Just returned from a 2 night stay at Fellhill pods . Had the most amazing weekend with my husband, daughter and 12 yr old grandson . 1st class glamping accommodation and welcomed with a lovely bottle of prosecco and essentials to start our weekend. Great facilities for children of all ages and most welcoming host .

Birthday
I booked this for my fiancé’s birthday and we had the best stay. We spent a while chatting to the owners and they were so lovely. They decorated the pod and hot tub area for him. We are planning on coming back with our two boys and can’t recommend them enough!

Amazing site
We have just returned from our 4 night stay at Fellhill. From arriving to leaving we've had a fab time. The pods are well equipped with all bedding and towels required, lovely touches of prosecco, eggs, butter, jams, biscuits. The kids had a ball with all the space to play football, basketball, on the climbing frames, trampoline and go karts. Kids even though all over 11 loved feeding the lambs. Whilst there we visited the Oddfellows pub and the food was lovely. We went canoeing on Derwent Waters and went to Go Ape. All in all a fantastic break and the weather was amazing to add to it.

New Year break
Fabulous stay over New Year. This was our 5th stay. We hired the hot tub this time which was lovely to sit in and appreciate the beautiful scenery by day and stargaze by night. Our children (3 & 6) absolutely love it there. They are never bored and as there's so much to keep them occupied.
Owners Kathleen and Peter are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble if you have any issues.
The farm was decorated for Christmas, as was the pod, complete with Christmas bedding! It's this attention to derail which makes Felhill so special.
Each time we've stayed the guests in the other Pods have been repeat guests also. I guess that speaks for itself!
See you at Easter! 🙂

Amazing family break!!
Can not recommend Fellhill pods enough. We booked all 3 pods for a family break for my sisters 40th. The owners decorated her pod with banners & balloons free of charge! Amazing friendly service. The pods literally have everything you could want and more. The play area for children is brilliant, mine absolutely loved the go karts. The adults loved sipping Prosecco (again provided by the owners) sitting round the firepit and in the hot tub taking in the uninterrupted views of the countryside and sea beyond. Thanks again to Kathleen, Peter & family for an unforgettable stay x

Fantastic!
We had a wonderful weekend staying at Fell Hill Pods. We stayed in the Herdwick Pod which was plenty roomy for the 3 of us. The views from the hot tub are incredible and we really enjoyed getting to feed the lambs each morning! The pods are so lovely inside and have everything you could need. Really warm and cosy as well. We hope to visit again soon!!

4th stay.......5th and 6th stays booked before we left!!
This is our 4th stay at Felhill. Kathleen and Peter make us feel like we've known them for years. We stayed over the Easter weekend and were greeted with Easter decorations on the drive up to the Pod, and also inside the Pod. On Easter Sunday, there was an Easter egg hunt arranged by Kathleen and Peter's family, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. There was chocolate galore!! (This was in addition to the Easter egg given to the children by Kathleen in the morning which was very kind 🙂).
Kathleen and Peter are very friendly and always make time for a chat, in-between the busy demands of their working farm. They work super hard, but the Pods are an absolute credit to them.
We have stayed in both the Herdwick and Jacob Pods. The Pods are always so clean and smell lovely when you arrive. The shower in the Herdwick and Jacob Pods are fantastic....better than we have at home!
This stay was the start of a 'big' birthday celebration and the Pod was also decorated with balloons and banners which was a lovely surprise.
We all loved feeding the lambs twice a day. There's also donkeys, horses and hens on the farm.
It's the little touches here that make the stay so special, such as the Pods being decorated for different occasions throughout the year and the complimentary bottle of Prosecco in your fridge waiting for your arrival! You literally only need to take clothes, toiletries and food with you; you'll find everything else you need in the Pod. There's even plastic cup/plate/bowl and small cutlery for little ones. If you can't find what you need you only have to ask Kathleen or Peter and they'll do their best to find whatever it is you're looking for.
One of the biggest attractions for us with young children is the huge playing area for children in front of the Pods. Each time we've stayed, Kathleen and Peter have added more play equipment, improving an already wonderful site. We spent 2 full days relaxing at the Pod whilst the children played and made friends with children from the other Pods. There is little need to leave the farm and spend extortionate amounts of money on days out when you are here. There was also not an iPad in sight for the whole weekend!!
For a lovely pub meal, we recommend Oddfellows in Caldbeck. There's a dairy farm opposite the pub where you can get the freshest whole milk. You can find delicious ice-cream at the Muddy Duck in Caldbeck. The Co-Op at Dalston (10 min or so drive away) is a very well stocked, small supermarket.
We would not hesitate to recommend Felhill especially to families with young children (although don't want to shout too loudly about it either as we want to keep it for ourselves!!). It's worth noting that each time we have been, the people in the other Pods are repeat visitors. We think that speaks for itself!

Just perfect
We've visited these pods twice now and will definitely book again. They are in a gorgeous, peaceful location and Kathleen & Peter have made sure the pods have everything you could possibly need - they have thought of everything! We came back for my birthday this time, and they'd even decorated the pod with banners and balloons. We had the hot tub and at night the sky was full of stars, and sunrise was equally beautiful. Kathleen & Peter are brilliant & so friendly - and if you go in spring they even let you feed the lambs!

ANOTHER FABULOUS AND FAULTLESS STAY
To say that Kathleen and Peter go out of their way to make your stay so memorable, well this is certainly an understatement.
This was our second time at Fellhill Pods, and yet again our stay was absolutely wonderful.
We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by Kathleen. After a little catch up with her we made our way to the Pod. Well we couldn’t believe our eyes! As it was nearing Halloween, Kathleen had not only decorated the Pods in a spooky way, but also the complete outside area as well! It looked fantastic, and the effort she must have put in to do this is a credit to her!
The Pod as always was immaculate, with everything imaginable at your fingertips!
Even a complimentary bottle of fizz in the fridge, and half a dozen fresh farm eggs!
Also a comfy bed, a superb shower and a view in the morning “ to die for “.
Also since our last visit , they have invested in many extra activities for the kids, such as a go-kart track, a ground level trampoline, climbing frame and swings etc.
Also being dog friendly was a big plus, as all our West Highland Terriers also had such a fun time!
We loved every second of our stay, and can’t wait to return again.
Thanks again Kathleen and Peter, also not forgetting Allistair who rearranged our visit three times because of of Covid restrictions.

A peaceful and picturesque landscape awaits you and your family to enjoy the beautiful countryside of the Cumbrian fells.
Fellhill Pods are situated on Fell Hill Farm 300m above sea level on the north facing side of Warnell Fell. Take in the breathtaking views across from the front of your pods. On a bright sunny day you can see all the way over the Solway, into Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and the Pennines you. The start of the Lake District National Park is only four miles away from the farm with Keswick being only 30 minutes away with plenty of outdoor activities for all ages. Why don't you try out the many walks or go mountain biking in the forest. Carlisle is a lovely city with a 12th century castle.

We would strongly advise bringing a car with you as there is no public transport to the area.

Fellhill Pods is located between Penrith & Wigton on the B5305 approximately 12 mile from junction 41 of the M6. Carlisle is only 12 miles from Fellhill pods also. There is no local bus service to Fellhill Pods, if you come by train you will be able to hire a taxi from outside the station. we would recommend guests to bring their car with them as taxis may be expensive.
