If you fancy staying somewhere different for a change then why not try our newly completed contemporary barn conversion. The barn was built in 1945 just after World War 2 and was built out of the traditional flint that this area of the Dordogne is famous for. The previous owners has been transformed it into a contemporary spacious building but still retaining its character. There are 2 double bedrooms and a twin room – one of the doubles has an en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms have cooling fans for the summer. There is also a family bathroom. We have English and French Satellite TV and Wifi. In the adjoining small barn you will find a games room/laundry room equipped with a full size billiard table and table tennis. There is also a washing machine and drying towers for your laundry. Ther...If you fancy staying somewhere different for a change then why not try our newly completed contemporary barn conversion. It is private. There is also secure gated off road parking. We are situated in the heart of the countryside, so a car is essential. The barn is no smoking and sorry we do not accommodate pets. If there is an evening where you don’t fancy going out but don’t particularly fancy cooking either then we can propose you an evening meal cooked by us. The barn is close to Lanouaille, St-Yrieix-la-Perche (10 min) and the lake of Rouffiac with his watersports (5 min). Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 2690200000137More

The Barn has been beautifully converted and is very well equipped with all mod cons. The games room is a plus with lots of games and activities for use. It was very hot when we were there so the swimming pool was very much needed....More

Firstly lets start with the positives, the location is great. The negatives: The Gite was filthy, we personally cleaned the cutlery draw, kitchen and living area. The furniture in the gite is cheap, our bed was broken on arrival. Both bathrooms were dirty, especially the...More

When certain people damage your property their first defense is to attack. Mr Claydon and his party did a lot of damage in our gite and of course rather than admit to it they prefer to attack us. They had no respect for the property...More

The owners have managed a remarkably good conversion of this barn. It is modern and immaculate throughout. They live on site and run a B&B which seems equally popular. The garden is large and perfect for relaxing in and reading a book. The pool is...More

Getting around
Out and About……. Our nearest major town is St Yrieix La Perche boasting many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The old medieval quarter is well worth a stroll through and you are advised to take in one of the cafes with their lovely patisseries! During the months of July and August as it gets so hot here they have nocturnal markets every Thursday evening held in the town gardens and is well worth a trip. There is always something going on in St Yrieix in particular during the summer months such as open air concerts etc. For a complete day out then the city of Perigeux is well worth a visit. It’s the major city in the lovely shops. It is approximately 45 minutes drive to Perigeux. There are many chateaux in the area.
