About the neighbourhood
With the Leeds to Liverpool canal towpath within a few minutes walk from the doorstep, visitors can enjoy walking, cycling, feeding the ducks. Or enjoy a stroll around Foulridge Reservoir taking in the scenery. There are many other walks in the area including the Pendle Way which has many local villages and historic sites on its route. Pendle Hill is a great walk with stunning views (or a nice drive for those less energetic!). Wycoller, in the Trough of Bowland is a short drive away and has lots of unspoilt countryside and tranquil places to explore. Close to the Yorkshire Dales, the historic market town of Skipton, with its Norman Castle is a 20minute drive away, as is the village of Haworth, home to the Brontë Sisters. Bolton Abbey is nearby with acres of woodland and walking trails....
