We are located in a safe tree-lined neighborhood ideal for tourists. Our beautiful penthouse apartment is located in a listed 1934 building. This newly renovated apartment has a very large veranda with beautiful view to the Acropolis and Lycabettus hill. Excellent access to shops, museums and entertainment. To quote our guests: 'We are really enjoying the apartment. It's a highlight of our time in Athens.' Crossing the threshold of our building, you will come to a hallway paved in marble, and illuminated by chandeliers. After climbing twelve steps, you will reach a Schindler elevator that will take you to the seventh floor. Our penthouse apartment is 58m², and has a 25m² (269ft²) veranda with a great view to the Acropolis. Unlock the (eighty year old) heavy Oak door of our penthouse, you will find yourself in a small entrance hall connected to a room with access to the master bedroom, the living room and the bathroom. The colors throughout the house are warm, subtle and romantic. The floors are original 1930’s (Oak) solid hardwood, and many floors have marquetry designs. There are antique paintings hanging on every wall of the house. The bedroom has a large double bed (160x200 cm), very spacious closets and a large mirror. Inside the closet you will find an ironing board and a steam iron. The living room has a large dining table with antique chairs, a 32” Full HD tv (dvd player and satellite tv), a spacious couch that turns into a double bed (140x200 cm), a set of coffee tables, and -most importantly- an excellent view of the Acropolis. If you wish to enjoy the view in its full glory, go out on the veranda. Right across our building you will see the National Archaeological museum, built in 1829, and its lovely small park filled with various trees and birds (including wild large parrots). Right next to the Museum you can see the historic building of the National Technical University, build in 1836. You cannot miss the Acropolis that is right in front of your eyes, and on your left you will see the famous Lycabettus mountain. There is patio furniture available, so you can enjoy your lunch and dinner while admiring this unique view. Adjoined to the living room you will find the kitchen. It is fully equipped, with a fridge, cooking oven, washing machine, water boiler, a frappe coffee shaker, a full dinnerware set, etc. Our kitchen has an amazing view to the Acropolis as well! The bathroom has a bathtub, a toilet, a sink, fresh towels and a hair dryer. The hot water in both, the bathroom and the kitchen, is autonomous and you can turn it on and off whenever you need it from the panel located in the entrance hall. The temperature in the house is always very pleasant. Besides the fact that the house is very sunny all day long, during the winter there is central heating that keeps the temperature approximately at 22 °C/ 71.6F. The summers in Athens can be very warm, but there is air conditioning that you can set on the temperature of your choice. This is an ideal apartment for a short or long visit in Athens that will leave you with great memories. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: ΑΜΑ 00000088017More

The other reviews are accurate. A great place to stay as long as you don't mind a 10/15 minute walk. We would definitely stay at this location again. Dmitrios was extremely helpful.

About the neighbourhood
Our area has always been a very popular destination for artists and intellectuals. There is an abundance of taverns and restaurants (with excellent prices and quality) as well as many small bars and cafes only a five minute walk. There are two supermarkets, many mini markets and several delicatessen with quality Greek foodstuff. If you like, from here you can walk to the Acropolis, or take one of the many means of transplantation (taxi, trolley, buss, metro, city tour buses) for only a few minutes. We are in the heart of Athens, but our street is very quiet and we are right across the beautiful park of the National Archaeological Museum of Athens! (The door of the museum is only 50 meters from us)
Getting around
All City Tour (double deck) buses stop just a few meters away and will take you to all the major landmarks! The Victoria subway station is a five-minute walk. Omonia Square metro station is ten minutes walk. Getting to the Piraeus Port by Car is 20 minutes. Monastiraki square is a 20 minutes walk or 2 stops by train from Victoria station. The Acropolis is approximately 30 min. on foot / or 5 minutes by taxi (3.50 - 4.50 euros) / or a short walk from Thesio station (3 stops from Vicoria station). The long distance bus terminal (for places such as Sounio and beautiful beaches) is a three minute walk.
