2 bedroom flat in the most peaceful street in the village of Monchique. 25min drive from quieter beaches in the West and busier ones in the South. if you're looking to avoid the Touristy busy-ness, this is a good place for that. Monchique boasts of some amazing walking trails, natural sprint Spa, genuine great produce on the food and drink front and an amazing sense of community. For example, you can go to the big supermarket and chances are, the lady at the checkout will know every other person There’s also a large public pool in a beautiful outdoor space that is free entry 5 minute walk away. there's lots to see and to do

Joli mais pas aussi calme qu'esperé
Endroit cosy avec une superbe vue... chouette déco et des literies et oreillers de qualité. Dommage que le calme ait été troublé par les aboiements intempestifs d'un chien dans une cour adjacente à l'appartement et par la pluie qui résonne fort sur le toit.
Pas possible de se garer près de l'appartement.

Modern, immaculate apartment in a beautiful and peaceful town!
Myself and my partner stayed for a week in Casa Lilia and loved it!
The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The owners (Bruno & Alexis) have thought of everything and the apartment even included tupperware for us to store our lunches in ready for a day at the beach! The town is very pretty and locals are super friendly, the beach is not far and very easy to find. Casa Lilia was the perfect place to stay for a much needed relaxed break i'd love to return.

About the neighbourhood
Monchique - you should really research the area as there's so much to talk about the place. the Water & Spa from Monchique is a big must get to know due to the apparent health benefits (we don't know it ourselves but a lot of people use it for treatments from all over the world), there's the gastronomy side to Monchique which makes it a very significant place on the food map of the whole algarve, then there's all things to do with Nature, Hiking, Sightseeing, birdwatching, etc, there seems to be a big community organising Heath & wellbeing activity like Yoga and Buddhist retreats, lots and lots of Eco Tourism activity, etc... as we learn more about it ourselves will share our findings here

How to get there
Bus - you can get the Bus from the closest main city of Portimao (17miles away),
Car & Taxis - there's taxis in Portimao but to make the most of the sightseeing we'd recommend you hire a car at the airport when you arrive where you can get cars from as little as €7 per day. there's parking nearby about 50metres away from the door...
Bike - there's a lot of people who cycle around so if you're keen cyclist you'll like the place. we're planning to have our 2 bikes in the house and make these available but we're still yet to figure out where's best to put them.
