There is also a living/dining area with sofa, LCD TV, stereo system and dining table and a well equipped kitchenette with hob/stovetop, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven/grill, toaster and kettle. The apartment is light, bright and airy and contains everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The apartment has free WiFi. A continental breakfast is provided every day in your apartment so you can have breakfast at any time you want, either in your apartment or outside on the front terrace. A breakfast suitable for vegetarians or vegans can be provided on request. There are also tea and coffee making facilities in the apartment. There is a large terrace at the front of the house - the perfect place to have dinner or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. During the day you can sunbathe and relax on the terrace beside the pond, accompanied only by birdsong and the gentle burble of water or, if you prefer shade, under the trees of the “linden tree terrace” or beneath one of the many olive, cork or fruit trees. Guests are welcome to walk around the Quinta’s 7½ acres/3 hectares of vineyard and land. The vineyard, which is organic, has many grape vines that are in the region of 100 years old. Being a traditional Alentejo vineyard the vines are not on wires but grow freely like a bush and there are olive and cork trees growing amongst the vines. One of the olive trees is reportedly over 1000 years old. The old adega, which is now reception, still has the large “talha” or clay wine pots, some of which date to the 1920s, that many years ago were used to make red wine. If you are interested in nature various animals and birds can be seen at the Quinta with many more species to be seen in the surrounding area of the Natural Park. The barns and other outbuildings are full of old agricultural implements and wine making equipment. We are happy to show guests round if they are interested and share some of the history of this estate. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: RNET3534:TER-CASADECAMPOMore

About the neighbourhood
Quinta da Vila Maria is in a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Reguengo, in the unspoilt Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. For walkers, bird watchers and mountain bikers there are quiet trails and roads through the hills to explore, leading you through open countryside, pine forest and groves of chestnut, olive and cork trees.
