The cottage was in a great part of Wales but not much cupboard space, the stair case was dangerous had corners sticking out, although I must say the host was very friendly

Sorry you did not appreciate the original stairs kept for the character of the cottage and hope it didn't spoil your 2 night break. Kaye

About the neighbourhood
Gower is an unique peninsular and is an area of outstanding beauty, it also has had many awards for its stunning views and beaches. South Gower has the sandy beaches and coves where as North Gower has the rugged estuary backdrop with various bird life along with the fauna and flora.
Getting around
Gower is very compact Rhossili Porteynon and Oxwich are the larger bays with so many smaller bays along the coast line accessible by footpaths or the coastal path. Dog owners love the wonderful walks with some beaches allowing dogs on certain areas. The Worms Head is an island which juts out off the main land at Rhossili it is accessible across a causeway when there is a low tide but be careful as you only have a 6 hours slot. There is amazing bird and sea life out there with a blow hole which is a must to see.To choose an easier option this can all be seen by boat.
