Enjoying beautiful views of the rolling green hills and the towers of the city, The characteristic Le Volte apartment at Il Casolare lies in splendid countryside just over 3km from the medieval town of San Gimignano. Composed of two traditional Tuscan farmhouses and a cottage, Il Casolare is divided into seven apartments including the owner's apartment, Le Volte described here, and No 28 Il Granaio, all recently restored to a high standard to offer very comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by vineyards, Il Casolare has a fully enclosed garden filled with plants and flowers where there is also a swimming pool (14m x 6m) enjoying a magnificent panorama of the countryside. A barbecue and a utility room with washing machine are available for communal use and parking is conveniently situated ...

Very comfortable apartment with lovely shared pool
We stayed here for 6 nights - it was a great little apartment in a nice complex. Pretty busy as you would expect in August. The owners are very friendly - they don't speak much English but we managed. The kitchen is very well equipped, the wifi is a bit patchy - best by the pool or out on the terrace, the shower was great and the bed very comfortable. The apartment is quite dark but in the heat it's exactly what you want - it stayed very cool!
The outdoor terrace with table was nice to sit out at especially in the evening - your neighbours are quite close. Conversations can be overheard and people walk by you a lot - it's ok but not a lot of privacy when sitting outside. Friendly though, as you get to see people and say hello etc. The pool is lovely - always spare loungers and umbrellas and sometimes we got it too ourselves which was nice. All in all a very pleasant stay and reasonably priced.

When you really need to disconnect with the rest of the world...
A friendly and warm welcome from geniun tuscan people. The room was nice and clean and had all comfort, simple but that's all you need up there. The garden was well kept and the swimming pool clean. The longchairs could have been more comfortable and the umbrellas more stable and bigger as they fell over when there was to much wind. The location of "Le Volte" is perfect with a wonderfull view of San Gimignano as well during the day as at night. It is peacefull and you feel "at home". San Gimignano is amazing and lies not to far away from big cities like Sienna, Pizza and Firenze if you want to visit them. You have a supermarket just outside the city walls where you can buy almost everything. We fell in love with Tuscany and in particular with San Gimignano where you should go to "le vecchia mura" to have a wonderfull diner with a view to die for. Don't forget to make a reservation because it's very busy. "Le Volte" is a good "price-quality" vacation. Thank you!

A peaceful retreat
We couldn't find many reviews on this property before booking but decided to go ahead anyway. We were so happy with our weeks stay here. Le Volte is a great apartment - good size kitchen/dining room, big bedroom and bathroom. We had our own patio area and enjoyed using the kitchen to cook our evening meals (kitchen well equipped). The pool is gorgeous and you can see views of San Gimignano from the pool as well as around all of the building - it's beautiful. It is soooo peaceful also and we used to share the pool with about 4/5 other couples each time but quite often might have had it to ourselves! The owners are friendly though English is limited but they will help you out where possible. It is a great base for Florence, Sienna, Pisa and many other places but to be so close to the GORGEOUS medical town of San Gimignano is amazing! We would defo stay here again.

An idyllic escape
In the quaint, immaculate grounds of Le Volte, we had the most restful holiday of our lives. At Le Volte The Tuscan spirit of simplicity and comfort made this holiday an unforgettable experience, we are recommending the place to our friends and family, and we'll be back!!

Tuscany at its best
Le Volte is just the right size for a couple and the facilities just right for a mixture of eating-out and self-catering. Every morning and evening we had a beautiful view of San Gimignano in the near distance. We mostly used the place as a base for short day trips but also appreciated our base as a place to relax in or to use the pool. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

perfect place perfect location
ideal place for couple with one small child. very friendly owners. relaxed place with enough privacy but also possibility to meet new people. located in a most central place in tuscany: most main destinations not further than 50 km.
nice swimming pool.

Dream destination in the heart of Toscana
The place is 5 minutes to San Gimignano.
The owners are very nice and friendly and the will help you with everything that you need.
Rooms are very clean and nice.
The pool is beautiful surrounded by a very nice garden with a great view over San Gimignano.

Honeymoon
This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We were here for the first week of our honeymoon, and found it to be in a beatiful, peaceful location with very friendly owners. The apartment was lovely, clean and met expectations and the gardens and pool were beautifully maintained. We have already recommended this place to family and friends.
The booking process with Bella Toscana was simple and the information provided was helpful and clear. I would definitely book a holiday with Bella Toscana again, and we will definitely be back to Le Volte.
