About the neighbourhood
The apartment is located in the 'oltrarno', the most ancient and characteristic quarter of Florence, at the beginning of the Historical Center. In the quarter you'll find churches of Carmine, Cestello, Santo Spirito, and beautiful Palazzo Pitti with the garden of Boboli. Here you can find old 'trattoria' and sunday food markets. You will eat great food for less money and feel the real spirit of the old city. You could be like a florentine in his home town!

How to get there
Airport: Amerigo Vespucci Florence: 8.0 km
Railway: Santa Maria Novella Central : 1.0 km
From the airport you can take the shuttle to Florence Central Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) for € 6 each. Then you can decide if you want to take another bus - number 6 in front of the station main exit - (regular ticket € 1.20) or if you prefer to take a cab (about 8 euro + extra luggages). Alternatively you can take a taxi directly from the airport to the city center (the exact apartment address) for about 20 euro (plus extra luggages). It will take about 20 minutes ride. The taxi I mean is not private, it is the white one with regular licence you can find out side the airport exit.
