Bellagio is an Italian town of 3 747 inhabitants in the province of Como in Lombardy. The municipality belongs to the mountain community of the Lariano Triangle (with the capital Canzo) and its territory represents one of the ideal vertexes of the Lariano Triangle. A renowned holiday resort, it is famous for its picturesque location right on the branch of Lake Como in its southern arms, with the Alps visible beyond the lake to the north. Along the shores of the Bellagio promontory there are many ancient noble residences, each surrounded by parks and secular gardens. Some of them - as in the case of Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni - are open to the public. These attractions are five minutes from the house.
