Condo/Apartment
We do not accept children, sorry. Lovely, comfortable and relaxing, this 1,000 sq. ft. apartment (sleeps 5) is part of a two-family midcentury-modern villa on a quiet residential street in the Bolognina (Little Bologna) area close to many of the city’s attractions, the Trade Fair, and transportation. Please note we rent only to adults over age 18. An independent-access hallway and one easy flight of stairs leads you into your home away from home, which features two bedrooms and a full bathroom; a well-equipped kitchen that a serious cook would enjoy; a living room/dining room; parquet floors throughout; and a private balcony facing a quiet street. About the neighbourhood
There’s plenty written about Bologna as the Italy’s food capital and railway hub, the world’s oldest university and first medical school, its unique urban planning constraints which resulted in over 30 km. of covered archways throughout the city and up to the hills. Tourists have yet to discover its before and after.. the early iron age and Villanovan civilization, the Etruscan and even Celtic ruins just 20 minutes away by car, the early 19th century pre- industrial and modern era where this home comes into play. The house was built in the aftermath of WWII when Bologna, (after heavy Allied bombing along the ‘Gothic Line’ ) like the much of Italy began its relentless march to post-war affluence in a paradoxical neighborhood- the ‘Bolognina’ that grew due to the immigration of manua...
