Rome is Home: You in the heart of the Eternal City

Visited by Tripadvisor
Condo/Apartment -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Rome, Lazio
Wonderful fully furnished one-bedroom apartment with a breath-taking view on the rooftops. The keywords could be: sunny, quiet and elevator (all rarities in this area). But many more can be added!

The apartment is perfectly kept and is one of Rome's finest addresses. As you step in, you step into a vision of light: the apartment is literally drenched in light, thanks to the array of windows, its exposure, and its being above the line of rooftops all around.

Selected as a 'SlowTravel Favorite' and a Recommended Rental by the Dream of Italy Newsletter, our home is just a few steps from Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona, but located on a quiet and elegant street of the historical center. It will be the setting for a truly unforgettable stay in the Eternal City.

This apartment is the only property we rent out: we are not an age...

Interaction with guests
If we are in town, we will most likely spend some time with you for a coffee or lunch together. Some of our best friendships have started like this. We love our guests and we are always just a phone call away. We will call you at check-in and give you a 'virtual' tour of the flat, and we will tell you about all the local amenities, best places to eat, a few beautiful sites off the beaten paths etc. etc. If you like, we can also keep in touch during your stay and we can arrange different activities and tour-guides.

It was such a pleasure, staying in this flat truly added so much to our experience in Rome. It felt like our home away from home, albeit in a much more picturesque setting! We loved how close we were to delicious food and wonderful sites...More

About the neighbourhood
As we said, you will be right in the middle of everything! You will reach all the most important places just walking, no public transportation is really needed. Here is our proposal for a week itinerary:

Day 1- arrive, get settled, wander around Campo de' Fiori

Day 2 - Trastevere

Day 3 - Pantheon, Piazza Navona, more of Campo de' Fiori area

Day 4 - Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese and Pincio Terrace

Day 5 - Colosseum, Forum, Capitoline Hill and Palatine Hill

Day 6 - Vatican and St. Peters

Day 7 - Sleep in, shopping and pack

Day 8 - Leave for home

Remember the double-decker bus tour (the 110 Open - 13 euros). Unfortunately, it doesn't go by the Colosseum or the Trevi fountain, but you will get to see some areas you would otherwise miss.

Taxis are extremely...
Getting around
Bring comfortable shoes for all the walking. It might be a bit harder to walk in Rome, probably due to the cobble and dodging the scooters all the time. On the safe side, bring bandaids, good socks, and an extra pair of comfy shoes. ;-)

Don't worry about what to wear, people wear anything. Just bring light, comfortable clothes in Summer and in Winter a few slacks, different sweaters and short and long-sleeved tops, and, in case, a light raincoat.
Car not needed
How to get there
