Condo/Apartment -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 2
Rome, Lazio
Charming, luminous and panoramic holiday apartment in the heart of old Rome, in the downtown near University La Sapienza and Termini Station. The house has been constructed more than 100 years ago in the characteristic area of San Lorenzo. The quarter itself seems like a quaint little old town in the middle of Rome.

The atmosphere is very livley, with lovely markets, characteristic craftmen's shops, cultural associations, special bars and good restaurants. Well connected to all the major monuments by buses and underground. San Lorenzo was as well an important point for political activities during the second worldwar, you'll find its streets and squares in Rossellini's film Roma Città aperta.

The apartment consists of a bedroom with one doublebed, a livingroom with one single sofa-bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. It was...

About the neighbourhood
Rome: The Eternal City…and for those who have visited her, unquestionably the most magnificent city in the world. No one can visit Rome and not be touched by her timeless beauty. La Città Eterna - the Eternal City - has been around for over 3,000 years. From her beginning as a tiny village in central Italy, to her current status as a top ranking city for the arts, fashion and cuisine, Rome has seen it all.

The city of Rome lies between the hills and the sea, and encompasses approximately 1,100 square kilometres. It was originally built on the famous “seven hills” that still form part of the city. According to legend, Rome was founded in 753 BC by Romulus, who—along with his twin brother Remus—was a son of Mars. After the young boys had been abandoned on the Palatine Hill, they were suckl...

Rome is located approximately in the middle of the Italian peninsula and therefore is easily reached either from the north or from the south of the country. The capital is well connected to the rest of Italy and the world, thanks to the two airports and the excellent highway and train systems.

By car: Rome is circumscribed in its entirety by a ring road (Raccordo Anulare) where highways coming from all parts of Italy meet. Those coming from Naples and from the South generally must travel the whole length of highway A1. For those coming from the North of Italy, from Tuscany or Umbria, follow A1 'Autostrada del Sole' up to the capital. From Genoa, Pisa and from the Tyrrhenian coast take A12 up to Rosignano and continue on Superstrada S1 'Aurelia' up to Rome. From Pescara and...
