It was nice but since it was too hot we could not ...
It was nice but since it was too hot we could not enjoy much. Massimo provided two small fans but even that were not enough and we had to buy another fan. Still it was very very hot in the day.
Massimo is a very nice host and he welcomed us himself amd gave a liittle tour of neighborhood to my son too. I was sick so he even kept asking about my health too.
We would definitely love to stay again in better weather.

Quirky property in a location easy to access all the main attractions. Lovely cafe/restaurant opposite-great for morning coffee/croissant-lively at night!

Cuando llegamos estaba todo preparado y Massimo no...
Cuando llegamos estaba todo preparado y Massimo nos estaba esperando. El apartamento ha sido su casa durante mucho tiempo y así lo atestigua todas las pertenencias que hay, libros, discos, sus obras de arte, etc. Está en buena zona para coger cualquier transporte público y a 10 minutos caminando del Coliseo. La zona tiene restaurantes, bares con mucho ambiente, supermercados y a 15 minutos a pie de la estación Termini de autobuses y trenes, donde llegan los que vienen del aeropuerto. Massimo da muchas orientaciones para visitar la ciudad y desde luego no es una persona tímida ni callada.
Lo recomiendo. Nos invitó a unos helados enormes en la mejor y más antigua heladería que de Roma, ni siquiera él pudo terminar el helado jaja.

Massimo’s apartment is a great place to land in Ro...
Massimo’s apartment is a great place to land in Rome, not just because it is well-situated but because Massimo was an excellent host. He greeted me upon arrival, toured the neighborhood with me to show me what was available, and really made me feel welcome and comfortable. He was available through my stay to answer questions, address the most minor issues and really made me feel like I had a friend in Rome if I needed one. Communication was great.
The apartment was well-suited to my nephew and me during our stay. I don’t think the place is suited to more than 3 people if you want to stay comfortably, and definitely not for kids. Towels were plentiful, bedding was suited to the climate. This is an old-school Roman apartment, though. As others have noted, it probably could use a little renovation. The door locks worked but could probably use a little WD-40 for smoother operation. You will live like a Roman here. But you’ll also live with Massimo’s fascinating art, decent WiFi, and everything you’ll need to be comfortable.
Top sites were within walking distance, as were a couple of grocery stores, and some interesting shopping and dining options. Though the apartment is on the ground floor, noise isn’t bad and, as I said, the locks are secure.
I definitely recommend this apartment for those who are seeking a little bohemian pied a terre in Rome with a terrific host who will make you feel welcome and supported in your travels.

It was a comfortable stay. Massimo Was very helpful. He provided travel tips and offered to book taxi for us. The apartment has every basic thing you need. Please do aware this is a budget friendly place. Apartment is not newly renovated. If you are ok with an old apartment then this is the place for you.

Stayed here to work on an assignment and it was just perfect for my needs.
My biggest concern upfront was that the apartment is located on ground floor and that it might be very noisy from the street, surrounding neighbours and businesses. But to my surprise, I got on well with it. On the one hand, because the bedroom faces the inner courtyard and the neighbours were considerate of each other, but also because it's not a classic tourist location and the increasing e-mobility is having a positive effect.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the apartment could use some renovation and it could get dark in winter. In April it was very bright and I can imagine that the temperatures inside are even very pleasant in midsummer. However, the apartment has got charm, is very functional, all you need is there, the shower works perfectly and everything is very clean.
Massimo is the perfect host. Having lived abroad for many years (speaks several languages) he has a good understanding of the needs of international guests. I know the city well and didn't need any instruction but it was a nice feeling that I could have approached Massimo like a good neighbour at any time had I needed.
As he suggests, the apartment is best suited for 1 - max 3 people and I fully agree with him. I had a guest for a couple of days and because of the sofa bed in the living room there is enough space despite the small size of the apartment and also privacy if everyone has a different rhythm.
Will be back!
