Lovingly converted five years ago, this haven is an idealic blend of old character alongside modern luxury nestled in the stunning Cwmcrawnon valley. Enjoy the visually hypnotic quality of the waterfall by day and at night drift off to the gentle sounds of the river. If you are a fan of wildlife, the watch out for the Heron fishing in the waterfall and listen the sounds of Otters call at night. There is a king size bed downstairswithin your own two storey separate open plan living space. There is also a small fridge, a toaster, a microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. A comfortable king size bed aswell as a cosy log burner and plentiful supply of logs wood will have you looking for an excuse to light it! A decorative spiral staircase takes you up to a dressing area aswell as a romantic roll tap bath (please note this is not a wet room ) with an over the bath water spray (No shower). Towels and bath mat are provided. The Dressing area has a small sofa . Please note the spiral staircase is not suitable for toddling children or for persons with restricted mobility and overlooks downstairs area. Outside there is seating for two or more on the flagstone balcony with breath taking views of the river, waterfall and surounding areas. There is private access to the river and in November watch out for leaping salmon making their way upstream. The property has it's own wifi connection. LLlangynidr is a beautiful part of the world, perfectly situated for a relaxing break with lots of local attractions, from walks in beautiful scenary to all kinds of leisure and fun. My husband and I absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Jacqui’s place! We really lucked out with the weather too, so we got to thoroughly enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the lovely little waterfall... The owner’s gorgeous dog would come and chill with us...More

We’ve just returned from a two night stay in this stunning apartment. Really peaceful, picturesque location. Jacqui and her husband couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Albus the dog was a big hit with my daughter! Lots of beautiful walks along the canal right...More

We loved to stay in Jacqui's cottage. The location next to the river and the canal is great: calm, romantic but close to shops and the pub. We even had some sunshine to sit on the terrace and listen to the sounds of the river....More

Generally unclean, food supplied unhygienic with 3 jars of jam or marmalade half used, sugar bowl unclean scouring pad already used and in poor condition etc . Lovely location spoilt by poor housekeeping. Shampoos promised were leftovers from previous guests.Under cushions on settee and chair...More

About the neighbourhood
Llangynidr is a small village on the picturesque River Usk, about four miles from Crickhowell and nine miles from Brecon. As well as the Usk, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal flows through the village, making it a haven for both wildlife and wildlife lovers alike. On one side, the village is accessed via one of the best examples of an early road bridge in Wales. Arching over the River Usk, the stone bridge dates back to 1700 and is a Grade 1 listed structure.
Getting around
Bus es pass by the accomodation bus no x43 route or past the village throughBwlch which is just a short walk down into the village of LLangynidr bus no43 . There are walks from the front door off the beaten track, canal tow path and mountain walks :-)
