A beautifully presented, newly built, cottage style Bungalow in the picturesque village of Murrisk, Westport, County Mayo. The house comprises of four large bedrooms, two of which are en suite. There is a large Kitchen diner, with enough seating to comfortably host a dinner setting of eight people. A Breakfast cook can be provided on request. There is a seperate utility room, a spacious yet cosy lounge with a traditional open fire and comfortably furnished sun room, which is the perfect space to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning, or a glass of wine to unwind in the evening whilst taking in the stunning landscape. The village of Murrisk is known worldwide and receives a high volume of tourists, particularly in the summer months. The town of Westport annually receives the Tidy Towns accolade and was this year voted as Ireland's best town to visit. Murrisk teeters on the edge of the Atlantic ocean and has 3 beautiful, clean beaches within a very short drive, each awarded the government blue flag for cleanliness and safety. There are two local pubs within walking distance from the house each with a character you cannot miss. 'The Tavern' produces award winning dining that uses only local produce and fishing. You will receive a warm welcome from Myles and Ruth and it is guaranteed that you will not want to leave! 'Campbells' is a traditional family run establishment, now a museum pub spanning generations and is perfectly positioned at the foot of the Mountain, opposite the National Famine Memorial Garden. You will not taste a finer pint of Guinness and the hospitality is exceptional. The town of Westport is a modern, vibrant town that has something for every taste. Originally a Fishing town, heavily reflected along the Quay area, there are restaurants, bars and coffee houses. You can catch live music in a bar on most evenings and there is no shortage of places to eat from pub grub, curry houses and beautiful fish restaurants to fine dining. Through the summer months there are street festivals and a weekly market. Westport Golf Course is of a championship standard and there are many more to choose from within a short drive. We are placed locally and can provide some water sport activities upon request. Jet Ski rides, Skiing, Wake/Knee Boarding and doughnut rides. We are a family that has enjoyed Murrisk as a holiday settlement for a life time and simply wish for our guests to experience the delights that we have. We do hope you enjoy!More

Dogs are permitted. It solely at the discretion of the homeowner. Please inform before making payment of any pets you intend to bring. It will be a requirement that they are fully housetrained and a damage deposit will be taken. The house should be left clean and tidy with all property returned to the place it was found on arrival. Any missing items may result in fees payable once your holiday is over but of course will be discussed.

About the neighbourhood
Murrisk is a picturesque and historical village very popular with tourists all year round. I'm walking distance is a pier and shoreline. There is the National Famine memorial and garden, the ruins of an abbey and you can walk along the shore to Bertra Beach (sandy). The village itself boasts two pub/restaurants. Campbell's is a very traditional old Irish 'museum' pub. It does very. Ice bar food and is at the start of the ascent up Croagh Patrick. The Tavern is an award winning restaurant - the food is Beautiful and the atmosphere friendly. There is a visitor centre with cafe and gift shop at the foot of the mountain. There are numerous fishing trips available from nearby Old Head.
Getting around
A car is recommended however car hire is cheap. There is a designated cycle lane from Westport town linking louisburgh and beyond and the views are amazing. There are plenty of local taxi's and we can arrange taxi's for your movements throughout the duration of your stay.
