This good sized 1 bedroom holiday let is located in the historic town of Linlithgow in West Lothian, Scotland. It is set back from the road, so is very quiet.

The accommodation is ideally placed - part of a small row of cottages in the countryside on the outskirts of the town, but just a 15 minute walk to the town centre and train station. By train Edinburgh is just 20 mins away and Glasgow 35 mins, making the rental an ideal base for exploring Scotland.

The holiday let consists of a conservatory entrance way, living room with kitchen and separate good sized bedroom.

The owners live in the main house next to the holiday let and so are available to answer any questions you might have over your stay. Once you have paid the balance, you will be sent an email with directions and instructions for how to find the key. There's an information sheet within the property explaining the heating, wifi, bins etc.

About the neighbourhood
Linlithgow is a small historical town with many local restaurants and pubs. Linlithgow Palace is majestically situated in the centre of the town, beside 15th-century St Michael's Kirk, and overlooking the peel (park) and loch. The loch has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest thanks to its wildfowl population.

There's plenty of easy walking nearby such as a stroll (or bike ride) along the Edinburgh & Glasgow Union Canal (just 5 minutes from the holiday rental), or a walk at Beecraigs Country Park.

For golf enthusiasts there are many local courses. St Andrews and Gleneagles would also make a good day out.
Getting around
The train station is 15 minutes walk away. It takes 20 mins to get to Edinburgh by train and costs around £8 peak or £10 off-peak return.

Alternatively you can catch the bus to both Edinburgh and the centre of Linlithgow.

'2 Bellevue' is a house name and can be a little tricky to find.

Approaching the house on Edinburgh Road (the B9080) from the EAST as you enter the outskirts of Linlithgow on the right you'll pass a group of around 8 houses followed by a field and then a second group of houses. 2 Bellevue is the fourth house in this group - a cream coloured semi-detached house.

Alternatively if you approach the house from the WEST on Edinburgh Road (the B9080) you will go under a low bridge. Immediately on your left is a single house and then a couple of fields followed by a group of houses. 2 Bellevue is the sixth house in this group - a cream coloured semi-detached house.
