The cottage is at the end of a single track lane ensuring complete privacy and peacefulness without any passing traffic . The separate stone byre next to the cottage has recently been converted into a sauna and hot tub/Jacuzzi spa room providing a touch of luxury and relaxation after a day out in the beautiful Hebridean landscape. This room is totally private and for your own exclusive use. Being indoors means you can enjoy the facility every day/evening no matter what the weather and the midges are doing!

I highly recommend this cottage. Up a windy track this cottage has stunning views. It is a beautifully furnished cottage with a fantastic hot tub and sauna suite!

Although the house is very remote, it is only 50 minutes drive to Stornaway and the same to Tarbert with beautiful scenery on the way, so is ideal to explore both Harris and Lewis. I had read previous reviews re not being equipped, no corkscrew...More

About the neighbourhood
The Islands of Harris and Lewis both have spectacular beaches and 99% of the time you will be fortunate enough to have them to yourselves. There are many interesting places to visit including the Callanish Stones, the Broch, the black house village at Gearrannan and the lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis. There are also trips from the south of Harris to St Kilda. These Islands are the home of the famous Harris Tweed industry, an iconic hand woven fabric ,unrivalled in quality, even today. The Islands are also a perfect choice for outdoor activities such as hill walking, fishing, cycling, birdwatching and even surfing.

How to get there
As a car is necessary to travel around the Islands most people arrive by ferry. Caledonian Macbrayne run the ferries from both Ullapool on the mainland and Uig on the Isle of Skye. The ferries are often full and booking early is advised especially during the Summer months. Either ferry is suitable for the cottage as we are an equal distance from both towns.
