Cow Shed 2 is our second self-catering cottage, the other being 'The Cow Shed at Lettoch' and has been converted from an existing farm steading by the owners Steve & Kirsty Rawson. It is finished to the same high standards as The Cow Shed and features a few interesting sustainable building practices such as an internal clay plastered straw bale wall, recycled pallet wood feature walls, a hessian clad ceiling, as well as a kitchen made up almost entirely of recycled pallet wood. It is finished to the same high standards as The Cow Shed and features a few interesting sustainable building practices such as an internal clay plastered straw bale wall, recycled pallet wood feature walls, a hessian clad ceiling, as well as a kitchen made up almost entirely of recycled pallet wood. The renovation is an expression of Steve's keen interest in sustainable but high quality building and ideas picked up from various travels around the UK and abroad. The property is a 2 person self-catering cottage and is located within the same steading as The Cow Shed, but with its own private decking area from which to enjoy the views across the valley and the evening sunsets. The double bedroom has a kingsize double bed and an en-suite toilet with large walk-in shower. The main living area, a space over 8m long and 5m wide contains the bespoke pallet wood kitchen and shares this open plan space with a spacious living room area warmed with a central wood burning stove. French doors open the living room space out onto the private decking and afford spectacular views across the glen. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and contains all the usual equipment you would expect from a high end holiday let, including:In the kitchen:-Dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster etc etc.In the living room:-Two seater sofa, reclining chair, wall mounted 32' HD TV, Freesat HD box & recorder, Blu-Ray player with selection of DVD's, logs & coal for the stove. We also provide free wifi. The property is heated throughout by underfloor heating. The property is situated within the same large farm steading as The Cow Shed and next door to the owners house (Steve & Kirsty) who are on hand to help with the property and a good source of local knowledge about places to see & things to do. They're keen walkers & cyclist themselves so can share a wealth of information about the best routes from short walks & cycles to all day bike rides & munro bagging. To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness Cow Shed 2 is a non-smoking property and I'm afraid we don't accept pets. All bed linen and plentiful towels provided as well as a welcome pack from the local working watermill and bakery.More

The Cow Shed 2 is definitely a five-star accommodation with a beautiful pastoral view of mountains and sheep. The cottage itself was immaculate and of very high quality. My husband and I are very picky about cleanliness and peace and quiet, and the Cow Shed...More

So pleased you liked Cow Shed 2. It is a bit quirky - my ideal living space I have to admit LOL - and yet still super comfortable with underfloor heating, wood burner, towel rads, super kingsize bed etc etc. Most people do comment on...More

Had a great week in Cow Shed 2. The cottage is beautiful with excellent amenities. Stunning scenery from the decking area. Good location for exploring Perthshire and further afield.

Interaction with guests
We, Steve & Kirsty (the owners) live within the Lettoch group of buildings and are usually always on hand to help with any accommodation issues and advice about the local area. We're very happy to help all we can but will also leave you alone if it's peace and tranquillity you seek. Many of our guests come back year after year and it's always great to see familiar faces returning.

About the neighbourhood
The Pitlochry & Blair Atholl area is a great place to while away a week. Relaxing walks, interesting attractions, great restaurants & coffee shops, and even some good shopping (particualry The House of Bruar).
Getting around
A car is essential for visiting Lettoch, and very handy for exploring locally. We're 2-3 miles from the nearest bus & rail links, but access by train to Perth, Glasgow, Inverness, Aviemore & Edinburgh is very good (from Pitlochry) and all can be easily done in a day.
