We visited Fingask for a few days to get away following recent lockdown restrictions being eased with our two daughters and a Labrador. It is ideally located in nice grounds between Perth and Dundee with lots of walks, bike trails and activities in the estate...More

Rowan cottage is a lovey little cottage, the kitchen has been replaced recently and there was a good cooker and dishwasher which was a bonus - though it would have benefited from instructions on how to use the induction hob. Downstairs is one large open...More

The Redwood Trees are certainly impressive! It was mostly staff walking up and down and we don't peer in windows, I am sorry you felt a lack of privacy. If you wanted to visit again I would suggest Gean Tree or Sir Stuarts House, neither...More

About the neighbourhood
There are seven Fingask Castle Cottages, ranging from Sir Stuart's House sleeping fourteen to the romantic hideaway, with sauna and rowing boat , known as The Boathouse. Fingask Cottages are set in 100 acre’s of the historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle, enjoying southerly views to the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife beyond. The half mile long drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge overlooking St Peter’s Well in the dell below. Fingask is truly a magic place!
Getting around
Fingask is not on any regular bus routes. The nearest stations are Perth and Dundee, both about 20 minutes drive from here by car. The airports are Edinburgh and Glasgow both approximatly 1 hour away. In short you need a car to enyoy your stay here!
