About the neighbourhood
Inverness, close to Loch Ness and it's legendary Monster, is perfectly located for exploring the Highlands and for starting your trip round the North Coast 500. We are blessed with beautiful scenery all over the Highlands with our quiet sandy beaches, spectacular mountains and numerous forest walks. This area is rich in Scottish culture and history with something to interest everyone. Inverness is a lively town with lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from, as well as live music in many of the pubs. Check out the Victorian Market for lots of quirky individual shops. Eden Court Theatre offers a good choice of entertainment from live theatre and music to all the latest films.
Getting around
Getting around Inverness is easy without a car, and there is public transport via bus or train to many parts of the Highlands. A car will give you a lot more freedom and flexibility though, and there are many car hire companies to choose from.
