Seldom have stayed in a rental where the description of the apartment reflects the advertised description -- clean, modern, well laid out, well supplied, easy walk to the center of town. Once the byzantine nature of the Fife garbage system was figured out, concerns vanished....More

St Andrews is a charming and historic town that attracts visitors from all over the world. St Andrews is known worldwide as The Home of Golf, and also boasts Scotland's oldest university. The St Andrews Royal and Ancient Golf Club first met here in the spiritual home of golf in 1754, though it was first played here as early as the 15th century. Getting to St. Andrews. Arriving by train, Leuchars is the closest station. It is five miles away. There are normally taxis waiting and there is also a regular bus service to St. Andrews which runs in conjunction with the arrival of the trains. Arriving by car, From Edinburgh, head for the Forth Road Bridge , then join the M90 and stay on this road until junction 2A signposted Glenrothes, Kircaldy, this will take you on to the A92 where you can then follow the signs for St. Andrews. From Glasgow, leave Glasgow on the M8 and head for the Kincardine Bridge, once over the Kincardine Bridge take the A985 and head for Glenrothes, Kircaldy, this will take you on to the A92 where you can then follow the signs for St. Andrews.
