Stockbridge Market - 100m from apartment - great for local food and much more
Typical Georgian architecture seen all around the New Town.
2 lovely independent cheese shops in Stockbridge.
The Water of Leith is just opposite the apartment, with walks to many parts of Edinburgh.
local produce can be bought locally
live music for all genre's can be found all over the city in bars, theatres, concert halls.
The Edinburgh Tattoo - a must if you have never been, or even if you have been.
One of our favourites, The Bailie - 2 minutes from Patriothall - a great bar, great pub food, music
stunning views from Carlton Hill - 20 minute walk from Patriothall.
if its history you like, theres lots of it!!
Edinburgh Castle, still a stunning sight and ive lived with it for many, many years!!
great local pubs, beers, bar food etc - spoilt for choice.
The Dean Village is a short walk along the Water of Leith, and is well worth a visit.
Stockbridge Market - 100 metres from apartment
The stunning skyline of Edinburgh, unsurpassed (in my view) by any other capital city.

Patriothall is a beautifully converted warehouse. Dating back to the early 1900's it was a stable block and workshops for the Co-operative society, before being converted to grade B listed residential flats in the early 2000's. Ten minutes walk from Princess St, yet very quiet courtyard. With tall ceilings and very large windows, a bright and quirky place to stay.
A great benefit is a FREE DESIGNATED PARKING SPACE in the gated courtyard, so never any worry of where you can park. Stockbridge is a vibrant community, full of bars, restaurants, shops, market and much more. Patriothall is unique courtyard off Hamilton Place, and very quiet with no passing traffic.
We aim to make it a home from home for all our visitors, and will go that extra mile to allow you to enjoy your stay.

Great apartment with everything we needed in a quiet area of Edinburgh. So comfortable that we would not hesitate to stay again. Restaurants, coffee shops, public transportation very close. After craziness of royal mile, this apartment was a pleasure to come back to.

A comfortable and well equipped house in a great location. Steps away from stockbridge’s bars, cafes and market and a 15 minute walk from central edinburgh. Highly recommended.

About the neighbourhood
Stockbridge is a wonderful area, a real cosmopolitan community with great restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and retail shops. For only being 10 minutes from Edinburgh centre it is amazing how vibrant it is.
Patriothall is in a unique situation by being right in the centre of all the action, but because it's down a lane and in its own courtyard it is very peaceful and no noise or passing cars, so you can relax after a hard day of sightseeing.
The Water of Leith is just opposite the lane and is very tranquil for a walk along the river bank, and leads to many great places to visit, both near and far.
Getting around
If you have your car with you and the FREE parking space we offer, then you can make the most of the beautiful scenery round Edinburgh, 30 minutes you can be in the hills, over the Forth Bridges, on the beaches, it really is a great city to explore the surroundings.
If coming by train, either Waverley or Haymarket are 10 minutes away in a taxi, and Edinburgh Airport half an hour maximum in a taxi.
Walking into the centre of Edinburgh takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your speed!

You can get to us very easily by car, rail or flying as Edinburgh is a relatively small city centre. If driving we have a huge advantage of having a FREE and SECURE parking space for you in the gated courtyard of Patriothall. If you are doing the sights of Edinburgh you might not need your car, but you know it's there and not costing a fortune in charges!
If coming by train, either Waverley or Haymarket are 10 minutes away in a taxi, and Edinburgh Airport half an hour maximum in a taxi.
Walking into the centre of Edinburgh takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your urgency!
