The apartment is within a modern development on the bank of The Water of Leith, Edinburgh's river, in The Shore district of Edinburgh. It is only a 10 minute bus ride into the centre of this beautiful city from which many of the main tourist attractions are on hand. The Shore itself is a vibrant neighbourhood with seafood bistros, bars, cafes and restaurants including two which are Michelin rated. The Ocean Terminal complex, in which the Royal Yacht Britannia is berthed, is only a 15 minute stroll from the apartment. This 1 bedroom ground floor apartment offers easy access and has a secure entry system. It has the benefit of ample free residents' parking. The very comfortable lounge has a flat - screen television, CD player and free WiFi. Heating and hot water are provided by the electric central heating system. All towels and bed linen are provided. This is the second year that we have stayed in this flat. The reason that we returned is that we were very impressed the first time. It did not disappoint on the recent visit either.

A great place for an Edinburgh exploration, once you've conquered the buses. A quiet and scenic location close the Leith restaurants and Brittania. Well appointed and clean apartment. Good communication with owners.

The flat was perfect for our stay. We were met at the agreed time with two sets of keys (useful for us both to have a set). The flat was clean and tidy and more than met expectations.

About the neighbourhood
Leith is an extremely interesting part of Edinburgh, and is well know for its wonderful range of places to eat - hence it's nickname - 'The Michelin Mile'! The Water of Leith runs from here right up into Edinburgh, and is a beautiful walk. You may even be lucky enough to see an otter or a heron. It is also very popular with runners, who enjoy keeping fit in picturesque surroundings. There is an excellent bus service from Leith into the city centre, with a bus stop a few minutes walk from the apartment. Ocean terminal is a stone's throw from the flat. This is where the Royal Yacht Britannia is berthed. You can treat yourself to afternoon tea in the dining room on board!
