The apartment has been recently updated to a very high standard and is beautifully furnished throughout. It is bright and airy in the summer and super cosy in the winter. The windows from all rooms offer stunning views of Edinburgh and far beyond. Both the kitchen and sitting room offer impressive views of Edinburgh Castle to the south and right across to the Firth of Forth to the north. During festival season and on New Years Eve visitors can enjoy the amazing firework displays from the comfort of the sitting room. The large bay window provides a front row seat! From the bedrooms, both the forth road and rail bridges can be seen on a clear day.

About the neighbourhood
North Castle Street lies right in the heart of the New Town. The apartment is in walking distance of most of Edinburgh's main attractions. George Street is a one minute walk away with its fantastic bars, restaurants and stylish shops. You can also take a bus from here to most areas in Edinburgh. Take a trip down to Leith to see the Royal Yacht Britannia which is docked here. Trips on board are held daily.

Edinburgh Castle can be seen clearly from the windows of the apartment and is about a 20 minute stroll through the fabulous old town and up the Royal Mile. However, with so much to see and do along the way, it may take much longer!

Fly direct from most UK airports, much of continental Europe, direct from Chicago and New York with United Airlines, Philadelphia with US Airways, Toronto with Air Canada and from Dohar Qatar with Qatar Airways.

The airport is only 13km from this property - 25 mins by taxi., or 30 minutes if using the airport 'Airlink' express bus.

'AIrlink' leaves from directly outside the airport terminal building, and runs at least every 10 minutes throughout the day (from around 4.00am throught to midnight) and every 30 minutes throughout the night. It stops five minutes away from the apartment, on George Street. An open return for adults costs £7 and £3 for children.
