Woodpecker Lodge is located in the beautiful and varied countryside of Dumfries and Galloway, five miles south-west of the market town of Dumfries, on a small, exclusive lodge development.
The high-quality, fully-equipped detached lodge has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four people. It's very comfortable at any time of the year, and has an open view of the surrounding fields, hills and Mabie Forest, which is only a ten-minute walk from the lodge, along a track. Free Wi-fi is also included. Storage shed for bikes and golf clubs in garden. Outdoor tap for bike washing etc
The site used to be part of the grounds of nearby Cairnyard House, and its location is ideal for visiting the many attractions in Dumfries and Galloway and is only 2 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh by car.

Excellent super clean lodge with high spec interior.

Ideally located for Castle Douglas and Dumfries, whilst enjoying a peaceful countryside location. We found it easy enough but it might have been easy to miss the turn in if it had been dark. Communication with the owners was easy.
