3 Oban Times Buildings is a large seafront apartment with panormic views across Oban Bay and the islands beyond. Situated on the 3rd floor the apartment is centrally situated on Oban's seafront with fantastic uninterrupted views across to the Islands of Kerrera, Lismore and Mull from all windows. Guests can relax and watch the ferries travelling back and forward to the islands and may be lucky enough to spot porpoises in the bay. Otters have also been spotted on the slip way opposite the flat. The accommodation is in a traditional Victorian building which was formerly the offices and accommodation for the local newspaper, 'The Oban Times'. Great place to stay the views are stunning and the apparment is fabulous. Fiona was great showing us how everything worked and were to visit. Anyone that comes will return. I know I am. Great place to chill or explore.

I have just spent 6 great nights in Oban. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you could want including a welcome tray. A great welcome from Fiona and explained how everything works in the apartment. The views from the lounge and kitchen windows...More

About the neighbourhood
The area around the town of Oban is steeped in history and there are castles, ruined churches and Oban is justifiably known as the 'Seafood capital of Scotland'. With a large selection of seafood cafes and restaurants you are never far from a taste of the sea. There is also a great variety of other places to eat catering for all tastes. Oban also has its own distillery founded in 1794 which is only minutes walk from the flat. For those wishing to explore the local islands and seal colonies a variety of boat trips can be taken from the Oban Times Slipway directly opposite the flat.
Getting around
Oban has a good network of public transport and there is a bus stop directly opposite the flat. There is also an open top bus which is a great way to explore the town and surrounding area.

Ferry: Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Terminal, Oban: 0.5 km
Oban is situated approximately 100 miles west of Glasgow and can be reached by car in around 2 hours. Alternatively there is a rail link from Glasgow which passes through some of Scotlands finest scenery or the Citylink Bus connects Oban to Glasgow three times a day.
