About the neighbourhood
Hall Farm Cottages are well located for exploring the beautiful welsh countryside. . You only have to drive through Penycae to be inspired by views of the LLangollen Dee Valley, the Eglwseg Rocks and Dinas Bran Castle. Do not forget to stop for tea and barabrith at Prospect tea rooms. For those of you who are more energetic you can cycle cross country to LLandegla mountain biking centre. Alternatively you might want to kayak the Dee or LLangollen canal. If you have a head for heights take a stroll across the world heritage Pontcysyllte Aqueduct .. When visiting either of our two National Trust properties Erddig and Chirk Castle I always manage to see some new detail which I have not noticed before. Llangollen is also home to the International Eisteddfod in the first week in July...
Getting around
By car , motor bike or bicycle and best of all walking the Clwydwian way or mountain biking . There is a train station in Ruabon , 6 mins via car or 25 mins on foot.
