The Cart Lodge is a grade 2 listed barn that has been lovingly restored to a very high standard while retaining a lot of its original character.This spacious and comfortable barn is part of the Lackford Lakes Barns holiday complex and has been awarded a 4 star gold award by the visit England quality in Tourism assessor. The Barn stands detached within its own enclosed garden surrounded by Lackford Lakes nature reserve where you can go for walks, bird watch from various hides looking out onto the reserve's 12 lakes. We enjoyed staying at the barn very much. The house is very comfortable and cosy with plenty of space to accommodate 7 of us. The rooms are very spacious and beds extremely comfortable. The nearby nature reserve is 5 mins away and great to have...More

My family loved the Cart Lodge and we plan on staying here the next time we are in Bury St Edmunds! We had beautiful surroundings, lots of space, easy parking and very comfortable beds!

Quiet location short car journey to shops and nearby villages.excellent nearby pubs.the lodge itself was excellent for children and adults with safe enclosed garden.there were plenty of. Bathrooms for all the family. We had a very comfortable and happy holiday.

If approaching from the A14
We are situated off the A14 between Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. Take the Risby turning off the A14, pass through the village taking the right fork at the second village green towards Flempton. At the cross roads in Flempton turn left on the A1101, take the turning sign posted to Lackford Lakes Nature reserve off the A1101 to your right.
Proceed straight down the track, ignoring the left turn to the visitor centre. Our Barns (Lackford Lakes Barns) are at the end of the track on the right hand side
