The Hideaway is a pretty, quiet, homely, relaxing retreat for up to 4 people, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Cotswold Way. Down a long wooded lane and at 700 feet up, it has incredible far-reaching views across to the Welsh Hills. Bath is a quick drive away (less than 10 minutes) and a must-do for at least one day and/or there are lovely walks in the immediate area if that's what you fancy. The house is cosy yet spacious inside with everything you could need for a cosy, quiet getaway for a few days. At the side by the front door is a spacious and secluded patio area with table and chairs and a small barbeque for al fresco dining. The cabin has one dedicated parking place immediately next to it and the Park and Ride is 3 minutes away to get into the centre of Bath. The house has oil-fired central heating and a wood burning stove, with wood provided by us, to make your stay cosy . Wifi is free throughout. There is just the one parking space at The Hideaway and you do need a car if you are staying here. The M4 is easily accessible, as are many villages and places of interest and of course the wonderful city of Bath is just up the road. The Hideaway was once a workshop where horse rugs were made, until around 10 years ago. Since then, it has been fully insulated, clad in larch shiplap and roofed with cedar shingles and made into a lovely home with all the modern home comforts. If two guests wish to use two separate rooms, there is an additional £25.00 laundry charge.More

A friend and I stayed for 1 night while visiting Bath. Cottage is a mile from the Bath Park and Ride, which was very handy. It’s a lovely cosy cottage and very comfortable.

About the neighbourhood
The Hideaway is a few minutes drive away from Bath and yet in a secluded, peaceful, wooded spot with far-reaching views. It is very quiet and there are no amenities in the immediate area. This is a home for relaxing in and getting away from it all - but with a city just comfortably enough down the road for you to enjoy perfect peace and quiet but with hustle and bustle nearby if you choose. The Park and Ride is 3 minutes away to get into the centre of Bath.
Getting around
You'll need a car to stay here but there is a park and ride just a few minutes away to take you into Bath if you don't want to worry about parking.
